Sūrat ṬāHā in the Light of Arabic Rhetoric and Modern Stylistics (A Theoretical and Applied Study)
Keywords:
Sūrah Ṭāhā, Arabic rhetoric, stylistics, Qur’anic discourse, the story of Moses and HaronAbstract
This study examines Sūrat ṬāHā as a Qur’anic model rich in rhetorical and stylistic phenomena, through an approach that integrates the achievements of the classical Arabic rhetorical tradition with the tools of modern stylistics. The study aims to uncover the distinctive stylistic features of the Qur’anic discourse in the sūrah, with particular emphasis on the story of Moses and Aaron (peace be upon them), highlighting the role of naẓm (textual arrangement), dialogue, repetition, and syntactic deviation in the production of meaning. Methodologically, the research adopts a descriptive–analytical approach and concludes that Arabic rhetoric and modern stylistics constitute two complementary frameworks for understanding the eloquent and inimitable nature of the Qur’anic discourse.
