Abstract

There is no doubt that humanity is advancing rapidly due to the influence of science and technology. Each year brings new inventions and innovations. On one hand, human lives are becoming easier due to science and technology but on the other hand, due to inventions, destruction is also taking place. Another significant example of modern technological progress is artificial intelligence (AI). Developed through technological advancements, AI possesses capabilities that mimic essential human functions. These include accurately understanding and answering questions, storing data, diligently providing information, striving to correct errors, and minimizing mistakes caused by forgetfulness. Over the years, the use of AI has expanded not only in public sectors but also within government institutions, which increasingly rely on AI technologies. In educational settings, the application of AI is growing daily. Reports indicate that its usage in the educational sectors of countries such as those in the Arab world, Australia, Canada, Singapore, and Malaysia has reached levels as high as 70-80%.

However, the advent of AI has elicited a range of opinions. Some perceive it as a significant threat to humanity, while others highlight its advantages over potential drawbacks. Every new technology presents its own set of benefits and challenges. The critical factor often lies in how these technologies are utilized. Numerous examples illustrate this point; for instance, while the internet offers countless benefits, it also plays a substantial role in the moral, physical, social, and societal degradation of younger generations, a reality we cannot ignore.

This paper aims to explore the application of AI in education in today's context, emphasizing its challenges and drawbacks. These include risks such as misinformation, the spread of fabricated information, lack of trust, unauthorized access to personal data, errors in defining religious terminology, plagiarism, misinterpretation of others' opinions, biases, and the dissemination of inflammatory content. Additionally, it will address the risks associated with errors in interpreting Quranic verses and Hadiths. These issues will be analysed comprehensively considering the Prophet (PBUH) Seerah.
