Abstract

This article explores the relevance and application of the Prophetic model of orphan care within contemporary legal and Islamic jurisprudence. It seeks to answer the research question: How can the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on orphan care be effectively incorporated into modern legal systems to protect orphans' rights? The objective is to analyses the challenges and opportunities in integrating Islamic principles with today’s legal frameworks, focusing on orphan welfare. The research methodology involves analytical & comparative analysis of Islamic jurisprudence, including concepts like guardianship (Wilayah) and Waqf, alongside modern legal practices and international human rights standards. The study concludes that integrating Islamic teachings with contemporary legal systems not only upholds Islamic values but also establishes a robust global framework for orphan protection.
