Abstract

Islam is a complete code of life; it means that Islam guides about every step and aspect of human life from the beginning to the end. An ultimate consequence of being a complete code of life is that Islam presents the concept of a unique and distinguished civilization, in which worship, affairs, society and ethics; everything has a distinct identity. Where other instructions were given to maintain the civilization identity, there was also an instruction given that Muslims have been blessed by Allah with certain festivals, which are the identity of Islamic civilization, So Muslims are prohibited to participate in the festivals of other civilizations. In this article, the following questions have been examined in the light of Hadith regarding the same topic: What is the nature of the prohibition to participate in the festivals of other civilization? Is there any scope for non-Muslims to participate in any festival? Does this prohibition have any relation with maintaining the identity of Islamic civilization?

In this article, we will discuss in detail about the participation of Muslims in the non-Muslims festivals in the light of hadiths related to cultural identity.
